Towards Parameter Identification of a Behavioral Model from a Virtual Reality Experiment

چکیده
In this paper, we investigate the calibration of a mathematical model describing different behaviors occurring during natural, societal, or technological catastrophe. This was developed in collaboration with geographers and psychologists. To collect information on level stress, psychologists LPPL laboratory Nantes (France) led virtual reality experiments. These experiments consisted immersing individuals situation catastrophe measuring their electrocardiogram. From physical biological data collected, present methodology to calibrate behavioral model. First, theoretical analysis is carried out determine (i) if parameters can be uniquely estimated, (ii) minimal number discrete measurements required for estimation. Then, from these analyses, an estimation procedure performed at least have order magnitude parameters. Through work, will show simulations that proposed system makes it possible apprehend non observable human processes.

Wayfinding and Glaucoma: A Virtual Reality Experiment
Purpose Wayfinding, the process of determining and following a route between an origin and a destination, is an integral part of everyday tasks. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of glaucomatous visual field loss on wayfinding behavior using an immersive virtual reality (VR) environment. Methods This cross-sectional study included 31 glaucomatous patients and 20 healthy ...
متن کاملTowards a Virtual Reality Intelligent Agent Language
In this paper we present a first approach to VAL, an implementation-independent agentoriented programming language. It allows developers to write agent representation code in a conceptual level, focusing specifically upon the agent’s definition requirements. VAL code is not in any way related to the agent system’s architecture and implementation, allowing agent definitions to be portable betwee...
متن کاملTowards a Model for a Virtual Reality Experience: The Virtual Subjectiveness
After analyzing how VR experiences are modeled within human computer interaction (CHI) we have found there is a deep theoretical gap. Similarly to how the scientific community has defined CHI models for multimedia applications, it would be very important to have such models for VR—obviously the standpoint cannot be the same because multimedia and VR applications differ in essence. Indeed, there...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
